Junior Staff Program
Junior Staff Information for 2012
Lakeview Ministries will be accepting high school youth to serve as Junior Staff (Counselors, Kitchen, Wrangler, Maintenance, Crafts, Lifeguard) at the Camp Lakeview and Lakeview Villages sites. The applicant must be at least 15 years of age and completed the 10th grade. Each Junior Staff will volunteer their service for one cycle, each lasting two weeks. A printable application is available on-line. The 2012 cycles are as follows:
CAMP LAKEVIEW
Junior Staff Cycle 1: May 31-June 10
Junior Staff Cycle 2: June 10-24
Junior Staff Cycle 3: July 1-13
Junior Staff Cycle 4: July 15-27
Junior Staff Cycle 5: July 29-August 8
LAKEVIEW VILLAGES
Junior Staff Cycle A: June 10-22
Junior Staff Cycle B: July 1-13
Junior Staff Cycle C: July 22-August 3
What’s It Cost?
Volunteering as a Junior Staff is ABSOLUTELY FREE! Lakeview Ministries provides you with room and board, a free T-Shirt, and $10 per week for spending money at the Camp Lakeview and Lakeview Villages canteens. In addition, you will also receive some life-long friendships, wonderful memories, and opportunities to grow in your own faith while sharing the Gospel with others through your words and servanthood.
What is Junior Staff?
Good question! The Jr. Staff serve in almost every capacity that a camp counselor or support staff member is expected to. In this role, you will have opportunities to build relationships with campers as well as staff that will be a blessing to you for years to come. For each week that the Jr. Counselor serves, they will be assigned to a different counselor or staff member to mentor them as they are put in leadership positions with the campers. Jr. Counselors will also be asked to assist with some meals as well as minor housekeeping projects. The Jr. Staff is not only a great asset to OUR ministry at Lakeview Ministries, but is also given opportunities to be fed spiritually themselves. What a great opportunity to experience all of the fun activities of camp from a different perspective!!

Special Note #1: This program requires attendance at a special one-day training and orientation session held at camp on Saturday, May 19, 2012.
Special Note #2: Enrollment in the Junior Staff program does not guarantee a future position on Lakeview’s summer staff.
