Junior Staff Program
Junior Staff Information for 2011
Camp Lakeview will be accepting high school youth to serve as Junior Staff (Counselors, Kitchen, Wrangler, Maintenance, Crafts, Lifeguard). The applicant must be at least 15 years of age and completed the 10th grade. Each Junior Staff will volunteer their service for one cycle, each lasting two weeks. A printable application is available on-line. The 2010 cycles were broken up as follows (2011 summer program schedule is not yet available):
Junior Staff Cycle #1: June 1-13
Junior Staff Cycle #2: June 13-25
Junior Staff Cycle #3: July 4-16
Junior Staff Cycle #4: July 18-30
Junior Staff Cycle #5: August 1-13
What’s It Cost?
Volunteering as a Junior Staff is ABSOLUTELY FREE! Camp Lakeview provides you with room and board, a free T-Shirt, and $10 per week for spending money at the Camp Lakeview Canteen. In addition, you will also receive some life-long friendships, wonderful memories, and opportunities to grow in your own faith while sharing the Gospel with others through your words and servanthood.
What is Junior Staff?
Good question! The Jr. Staff serve in almost every capacity that a camp counselor or support staff member is expected to. In this role, you will have opportunities to build relationships with campers as well as staff that will be a blessing to you for years to come. For each week that the Jr. Counselor serves, they will be assigned to a different counselor or staff member to mentor them as they are put in leadership positions with the campers. Jr. Counselors will also be asked to assist with some meals as well as minor housekeeping projects. The Jr. Staff is not only a great asset to OUR ministry at Camp Lakeview, but is also given opportunities to be fed spiritually themselves. What a great opportunity to experience all of the fun activities of camp from a different perspective!!

Special Note #1: This program requires attendance at a special one-day training and orientation session held at camp in May, 2011. The exact date of this training day is yet to be determined.
Special Note #2: Enrollment in the Junior Staff program does not guarantee a future position on Lakeview’s summer staff.
